  • Good questioning

Posted on September 11th, 2009 Administrator No comments

After reading the wonderful letter by Marcia Segelstein, I have come up with some good questions to ask the liberals anti Christians.

    1. Start by asking them if it is okay for me to force my Christian viewpoint on them?

of course they will answer no,

    2. Then ask them is it alright for them to force their un-Christian viewpoint on me?

if they say yes they are hipocrits without defense. If no then ask them the following…

    3. Is it okay for them to reasonably present their viewpoint to me?

most likely they will answer yes

    4. Then ask them is it okay for me to reasonably present my viewpoint to them.

Either they will answer no and be hipocrits or yes and ask them why they persecute Christians so much for standing by The Word of God!

    Just my thoughts.

  • Open Letter to Liberals by Marcia Segwlstein

Posted on September 10th, 2009 Administrator 1 comment

Here’s what I REALLY think (an open letter to liberals)

    Marcia Segelstein – Guest Columnist – 9/8/2009 10:05:00 AM

Reluctant Rebel logoRonald Reagan famously said, in his 1964 speech called “A Time for Choosing,” that “the trouble with our liberal friends is not that they’re ignorant; it’s just that they know so much that isn’t so.”

My last column, “Republicans Are Evil,” was about the knee-jerk reaction many liberals have to conservatives.  For the most part, liberals simply can’t believe it’s possible to be a decent person and a conservative, at least not at the same time.  Liberals far too often assume they know what conservatives believe, and it’s not a pretty picture.  Trouble is, many of their assumptions are wrong.

I received more mail about that column than any other, almost all of it from fellow conservatives who are derided for their views.  One reader suggested I write about what conservatism really is, and attempt to clear up some of the misperceptions liberals hold about it.  It’s something I’ve often thought of doing: writing an open letter to those who assume my views are repugnant because of the conservative label.  So here goes…

Dear liberal neighbors, acquaintances, friends and family,

I’m a conservative.  A political and social conservative.  I know that some of you assume that means I’m mean-spirited, selfish, intolerant, greedy, and perhaps even evil.  But before you write me off, allow me to explain what I really think.  You might be surprised to find that, at least in some areas, we want the same things.  We just disagree on how to get them.

I believe in limited government.  While I think government has many important roles to play (most importantly providing a military to protect our country), in general I believe the less government the better.  For one thing, bureaucracy too often breeds inefficiency, mediocrity, or even worse by not rewarding performance.  Anyone who’s been to his local Department of Motor Vehicles, or his post office for that matter, can attest to that.  But even if government bureaucracies worked perfectly, why would I (or anyone, for that matter) want to be subject to any more laws and regulations than I already am?  I believe I’m better at running my life than my congressman is.

As a believer in small government, it follows that I want my taxes to be as low as possible.  I prefer to spend my own money as I choose, not because I’m greedy, but because I’ll spend it more wisely and carefully because I earned it.  Government waste is a given.  And while I do believe the government should help the neediest among us, welfare states simply do not work.  Bill Clinton knew that well enough to act on it.  I believe individuals should be encouraged to be as charitable and generous as possible.  (As a Christian, I believe it’s my responsibility to help take care of people in need.)  But I also believe individuals fare better when they take responsibility for their own lives.  Dignity comes from taking responsibility, not handouts — and dignity breeds motivation. George Will summed it up nicely when he wrote that “excessively benevolent government is not a benefactor.”  I believe in equal opportunity, but I don’t believe that equal outcomes can (or should) be mandated.

I believe in personal freedom.  The less government bureaucrats have to say about my personal life, the better.  Naturally we’re all subject to the laws of the land, but it’s another thing entirely to have my family’s healthcare run by committee, for example.  Having lived through a few years without employer-provided health insurance, I know how tough that is.  I’d still prefer that to the British system in which my brother had to wait three months for an MRI to determine what a doctor here diagnosed by my description alone: that he’d suffered a stroke at the age of 38.  Guaranteed healthcare doesn’t mean much when it’s dangerously slow and just plain lousy.

Most public school systems are sad but perfect examples of how tax-supported bureaucracies simply don’t work.  As a conservative, I believe in school choice.  Not only would individual students benefit, it would inspire healthy competition and remind administrators that they are answerable to parents.

I am also a social conservative.  I believe in traditional Judeo-Christian values, and want the freedom to continue to worship as a Christian.  I also want the right to raise my children with those values.  I don’t want my children taught that the practice of homosexuality is right any more than my liberal neighbors want their children taught that it’s wrong.  Liberals who wouldn’t want their children taught Christian precepts in school should be able to understand why conservative Christians don’t want their children taught un-Christian precepts.  In fact, if public schools focused on academics and left social and moral issues to parents, we’d all be better off.  Social change dreamed up and forced on society, including children, by a few Washington insiders is a truly frightening prospect.  Too much power in the hands of a small group of any persuasion is a dangerous thing.

In a nutshell, I’m for limited government that acts to preserve opportunity and encourage personal responsibility.  I’m for small government that allows me the freedom to believe what I choose to believe, and raise my children accordingly.  I believe it’s my duty to help people in need, and that while government has a role to play in that regard, it is among the least capable of institutions to do so with positive long-term outcomes.

Ronald Reagan captured the conservative ethos in another quote from that famous 1964 speech:  “[Y]ou and I have the ability and the dignity and the right to make our own decisions and determine our own destiny.”

So, liberal readers, if you think that the concepts of small government, personal freedom, and personal responsibility are wrong, so be it.  Thankfully the government hasn’t mandated that you agree with me.  But if you think they’re evil, then forgive me, but I think you’re wrong.

  • We are the line!

Posted on August 21st, 2009 Administrator 3 comments

My Christian brothers and sisters, we must stand against the evils of this world without waiver. We must stand against socialism, communism, athiesm, pantheonism, against Satan and all his influence in this world. We are the line where it stops. If not us, then who? Ask any of these groups of people who their biggest obstacle is, and if they are honest, they will tell you Christianity is. Many will not even try to deny it. We are the line that stops the evil in this world. Be very careful, for the enemy will try to quitely sneek in to the ranks of the line to brake it. Don’t be fooled. Socialism is not what Jesus preached about. The enemy has try to confuse people with what Christians do with what looks similar to what they want to do. God wants you to give of your own free will, not have a government take what you have and distibute it to who they see fit. What good is forced good will? Communism is even more straight forward in its disdain for Christianity. Athiest just try to deny everything filling the holes it leaves with anything they can think of. Panthenist say all is god and there are many ways to the end. On top of all these, you have muslims, budhist, etc… trying to invalidate the Gospel of Jesus Christ. My brothers and sisters, the flood of evil is against us and it grows each day. We are the line where it stops, stand strong and true. The One backing us up does not fail and will make note of who the line is made of. Don’t be lazy, stand and act on the Word. I will stand with the majority…even if I’m alone, me+God will always be a majority. Where will you stand?

  • The Painting!

Posted on July 26th, 2009 Administrator No comments

Imagine if everything there is, except for people, is represented by a painting. Most people are a few steps back from the painting, but scientist and learned men are right up next to it with their lenses and scopes becoming experts in the little section they can see. They each rely on the other for information on the sections they cannot see, for they can only see their own little sections being so close and dedicated. Together they try to understand what this great picture of life is supposed to mean. The real problem is that the picture is infinite and by getting closer, the less of the picture you can truly see. In order to take in the picture, you must step in the other direction. The farther back you get from it, the more you can take in. The more you take in, the more you really know what the unlimited picture painted by God is truly of. Don’t be fooled by what the so called experts will try to say they know. They really are missing the “big” picture here!

I was reading through the comments on a lot of news post about gay marriage and such. There were a lot of hateful comments directed toward the Bible. Before you spew venom and vile and blame at the Bible, I challenge you closed minded people to read it. Just read the New Testament, pick up a New Internation Version or one of the more modern easy to read scripts, stay away from the harder to read King James Version. You blame the Bible for all your misery, but have you read it? Read it yourself, don’t listen to what someone else has to say about it. I challenge you to read the New Testament with an open heart and mind and then come back and try to spew the vile and venom. It can’t be done. I challenge you to try. Stop listening to the hate of others and read and make up your own mind, you are capable of that right? No cheating either, you must read it yourself.

  • On Saving and Offending

Posted on May 11th, 2009 Administrator No comments

We are so afraid of offending people these days, that we won’t try and save them! It is a sad state that political correctness takes precedence over the Word of God. Are we so concerned about losing our rights as Christians that we won’t challenge others? In doing so, we are losing the very thing we seek to protect. By not challenging the others, we are letting them take over without a fight. It is Christianity that is under attack not any other faith or way of life. Who do the gays and liberals attack, who do muslims hate, who do evolutionist try to disprove, who is the attack directed at? Christians! We need to stand up Christian brothers and sisters, our calling is to save as many souls as we can, even if it means offending the very people we are trying to save! Homosexuality is wrong! Abortion is baby murder! Evolution is a desperate wish by those refusing to believe God! Jesus is the one and only Way! All other faiths, you are wrong! But fear not, not one of you are locked out from the glory of God. Jesus paid the price once and for all. Want to truly be saved? Come and ask a true Christian. We are not the kind of people stereotype by Hollywood and the liberal media. We are the salt of the earth and welcome anyone and everyone to serve the Lord. We love deeply and share eternally. We are sinners just like you, we just accept the Gift given to us by the Father. It’s time to start getting offensive my fellow Christians, not for our sake, for the sake of the ones we are offending!

  • Christian America is under attack!

Posted on May 1st, 2009 Administrator No comments

A great quote from Albert Einstein to start this off:

Albert Einstein, a secular Jew, had this to say:

‘Being a lover of freedom, when the revolution came in Germany, I looked to the universities to defend it, knowing that they had always boasted of their devotion to the cause of truth; but, no, the universities immediately were silenced. Then I looked to the great editors of the newspapers whose flaming editorials in days gone by had proclaimed their love of freedom; but they, like the universities, were silenced in a few short weeks….

Only the Church stood squarely across the path of Hitler’s campaign for suppressing truth. I never had any special interest in the Church before, but now I feel a great affection and admiration because the Church alone has had the courage and persistence to stand for intellectual truth and moral freedom. I am forced thus to confess that what I once despised I now praise unreservedly.’

    - Albert Einstein, Time magazine, 23rd December, 1940 p. 38

Time to wake up Christian America! We are now in the same situation as the Jews in Germany so many years ago. Only for us, no one will come to defend us. To right the wrongs done against us. We must stand united in Faith. Let’s look at what Einstein had to say, first the universities were silenced. Check. You will find hardly anywhere in America more liberal than on university campuses. Everything but Jesus is allowed in these places. Don’t believe, check out how many people have been kicked out just for handing out bible tracts peacefully, or how evolution is the only thing allowed to be taught in these places.

Next Einstein said he looked at the editors of newspaper, include news media these days, and they were firmly on the side of evil. There is no doubt where America’s news media stand…as far left as they can for the most part. They freely admit it themselves.

The only one to stand up against Hitler and his world view was the Church.

Welcome to America 2009. You may say there is no connection between Hitler’s Germany and today’s America, but you are a fool if you can’t see it. The liberals are pushing through force their hate crimes laws. They will make it a crime to teach the Bible and what it has to say about gay and homosexual people. They are taking control of private industries, bank, auto and now media with their “fairness” doctrine. The new Czar they have put in place for the internet wants total control of the internet and what is said on it. They want to police your very thoughts and if your’s don’t line up with what they believe, you will be in some deep legal trouble. Sound extremist to you? Yes, the liberals are extreme and cunning in the pretty boxes that they feed this stuff to the public and they eat it up without question. The things they are pushing through are socialist. They want the state to be the center of your world and anything contrary to that is illegal.

Liberals also are in full support of abortion. I don’t care what you think, just because the baby is not out of the womb, it is still a person. Just because that person needs his or her mother to live, does not make them any less people. These people are being killed everyday under the liberal banner of choice. Killing is not a choice , it’s murder. It’s baby murder…how horrible does something have to be that the population just ignores it completely?  They are already aborting “bad” babies, the kind that may have a birth defect. Sounds like the liberals are trying to create a superior race does it not! NO one with a mental defect, retardation, or anything undesired will be allowed to be born. Instead of killing the undesired after the fact like Hitler did, the liberals are doing it up front, before they are a problem to the people.

Sound like I’m blowing things out of proportion? What will it take before we wake up and see what is going on? How much more are we going to let the liberals kick God out of the lives of American people? I ask you this, who paid for this country with their lives? Overwhelmingly, it has been Christian men and women who fought and paid for with their lives this country. Now we let them legislate away any trace of the Christian values and principles this country was founded upon. We let the lives of all our Christian brothers and sisters go to waste as we hand over this country to the un-Godly!

Sound too extreme? Good, we need to wake up and see with our own eyes what they try to sneek by under the guise of doing “good”. “Good” for who, them? It’s not good for us and it is most definitely not good by the Bible! How long before the Bible is outlawed as “hate” material? Do we have to let them go that far before we act?

Wake up Christians, fight now or be governed away!

Update: We are fighting for everyone’s freedom except Christians…
