Happy Easter!!!
Posted on April 12th, 2009 No commentsOn that Good Friday so long ago, the people were given a choice of who to let go, they demanded Barabbas go free and Jesus to be crucified. Barabbas was a sinful, lying, cheating murderer. I can imagine the guards letting Barabbas go. They say to him, “Barabbas, you are the luckiest man in the world, that man (pointing at Jesus) is taking your place.” The wonderful thing is, Jesus did take his place, and he took mine too. I deserve to be up on the cross, instead, He paid the price for us all! It is done!

What I learned as a Christian this week!
Posted on March 9th, 2009 1 commentI’ve been putting of writing this post for a little while now, I’ve learned so much it’s hard to put it all in writing. I recently went on a Man’s retreat with my church and Pastor Neil Kennedy of Five Star Man. Gentlemen, if you get a chance, attend a Five Star Man event. It is well worth it. I’ll try and write a couple of things here that really opened my eyes in all of this. The first and in an area I had been having some issues with lately is with marriage. To put it simply, your family is like your garden. If you are looking and envying another man’s garden or you are not happy with your own, The only one to blame is yourself. You are not tending and taking care of your own garden, so you want another man’s. If you did take care and cultivate your own garden, there would be no need to look elsewhere for what you need. Men take care of your own garden’s, you will be far happier. You should view every woman who is not your wife as either your grandmother, mother, sister or daughter. Lover is only reserved for your wife. Another thing I learned and realize is true, is that God put’s those in authority over us there for a reason and will work through those people ( even if they are not Godly) to His own end and will not bypass what He has put in place just because you don’t like the person in authority. God work’s through all people weather they know it or not. Show respect to the chain of authority that God has put in place and stop whining to Him just because you don’t like it. Keep your faith in God, He will work through those in authority over you to blossom you , just as he will work through you to blossom those who you are in authority of, your children for instance. There are many, many more things that I was inlightened to on this retreat. I am very thankful to our Lord Jesus for all that He has taught me. I pray He gives me wisdom and words to pass it on to others. I admit it myself, I am not the best at conveying what it is I know to others. I just hope I can pass on what I can.
God Bless!

What I learned as a Christian this week!
Posted on February 9th, 2009 No commentsYou can’t take it with you…or can you!
You can’t take earthly treasures with you, but you can send it ahead by using what you are given on earth as God has commanded. You will be building up heavenly treasures by being good stewards of your earthly ones. Here’s another look at it… If we invest on earthly things( self pleasures, etc…), everyday we get farther from it (we are closer to death each day). If we invest in Heaven, everyday we get closer to it. -
What I learned as a Christian this week!
Posted on February 9th, 2009 No commentsGuilt and Forgiveness. The devil uses guilt effectively, anytime we sin, he runs to God telling Him of our wrong doing…He uses our guilt to try and make us think we can’t be forgiven and accepted by God. This is wrong, our sins are paid for by the Blood of Christ. He has no case against us. Also, forgive others, this is not only for their benefit, it frees ourselves of hate and revenge. It makes us happier and healthier. Also, God tells us to forgive, how can we expect Him to forgive us if we do not forgive others as He has commanded!

What I learned as a Christian this week!
Posted on February 9th, 2009 No commentsMost people, especially those who are not Christian, are so focused on all the do’s and don’t , they just don’t understand it’s the “Done” that matters. It is not anything you do or don’t do that saves you! What saves you has already been done in Jesus Christ! Here is the way it is, whether anyone likes it or not, Every knee shall bow and tongue confess to God. Whether you do it of your own free will or not, this will determine your destination after life on Earth. All people are either sheeps or goats, I choose to be a sheep. Don’t be a goat!

Posted on February 9th, 2009 No commentsIt’s not that God loves some perfect future versions of ourselves, it’s the person here and now that He loves.

Posted on February 9th, 2009 1 commentIt rains on the just and un-just alike. When bad things happen, the question isn’t “Why is this happening to me?” , rather it is “How can God use this adversity to help me grow?”.
